Step 3: What to Read and Research

The ‘Read This’ section of Step 3 aims to give you the information and guidance you will need to start developing your own, personalized plan to get recruited. Every recruit is different and every path to college baseball will be have different twists and turns. The resources under ‘Read This’ for Step 3 will:

  • Help you get a better understanding of the importance of timing in the recruiting process
  • Help you understand the importance of being patient and seeking exposure at the right time
  • Give you suggestions on how to build your list of programs and thoroughly research them
  • Help you set goals and understand standards that will allow you to develop into a more well-rounded and recruitable player

And much more.

We’ve boiled the ‘Read This’ section down to the essentials, but there is a lot of material to read because there is so much that goes into taking charge of your own recruiting process.  Step 3 is all about understanding yourself, and putting together a plan that will help YOU make it to the next level. Each person’s plan should be tailored to their strengths, weaknesses, and needs. There is no cookie cutter plan, which is why you are the best person to take charge of your recruiting process. No one knows what you want and need better than you do, and we will help you every step of the way.

In addition to the articles in ‘Read This’, you’ll want to start looking at how you can continue to improve over the long-run. This means that as you learn more and find the best way to develop and succeed, your personal recruiting plan will continue to evolve.
